The Documentary Channel partnered with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences( AMPAS) to present a weekend of Oscar® nominated and winning films during the weekend of the Academy Awards.
The look and feel need to fit with the work carried out by the ABC network who broadcast the ceremony. Harmonizing with a brand is often an important part of the job, making sure that work plays well with existing design and branding.
I used the motifs of spotlights and light illuminating the Oscar® Weekend. The Academy care about details and the word Oscar is a registered trademark as is the statue. This was a case where producing work that is polished and tasteful is the main consideration.
